Laurel Ferejohn

Laurel Ferejohn’s editorial career spans two decades as publications
manager, managing editor, and senior managing editor, bringing together
high editorial quality, management of teams and workflows, and the care
and feeding of schedules.

Projects have included:

  • creative, literary, and academic editing
  • journals in the humanities, social sciences, science, and medicine
  • peer review management
  • organizational communications
  • marketing copy
  • newsletters and brochures
  • custom editorial style guides

Laurel is completing a novel, Art of the Sextant. She is the winner
of the 2012 Thomas Wolfe Fiction Prize from the North Carolina
Writers Network. Her winning short story, “That Other Story,” has
been accepted for publication in the Thomas Wolfe Review.
She is a recipient of the 2012 Ella Fountain Pratt Emerging Artist
Award from the Durham Arts Council with support from the North
Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural
Resources.
